Purpose of the Martin County Taxpayers Association:
"To study the tax situation in Martin County, Florida; to work with Public Officials and Boards toward economy and efficiency in the operation of the Government of Martin County and other political bodies in said County; to improve, extend and place upon a safe and more permanent foundation the general tax program of said communities and county, etc."

12 - Martin county Stormwater management budget 4 times that of our neighboring and larger St Lucie County budget of 1.2 million. Could the County learn from the City of Stuart ?

26 - Governor Bush is telling (state) agencies that they will have to do a better job justifying money they already have before they get more.

9 - City of Stuart learns from past mistakes and sets good example of of managing expenditures in relation to growth and revenues. Wise spending of tax dollars is something the Martin county could benefit from.
23 - The Sheriff's Office and Public Safety are investigating the purchase of a new countywide emergency radio system.

20 - Martin County waste money that could be better used to provide beneficial services to the taxpayers

4 - Commissioner sidesteps outlined procedures and approve the purchase of small parcel for a public park , paying $ 300,000.00 over the appraised land value
